Toni Morrison

In honour of International Women’s Day BBC Four repeated the documentary from 2015 Imagine – Toni Morrison Remembers, where Morrison talks to Alan Yentob about her life and work. Imagine has broadcast several good documentaries this week following on from the Maya Angelou interview a few days back.

I read Morrison’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel Beloved back in the day plus watched the film adaptation starring Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover.

I haven’t read her early work so I thought I’d add The Bluest Eyes to my Book Challenge, a book by a female author.

Tomorrow see’s the return of the Six Nations Championship with day 7 a night game between Wales and Ireland, so have to prep for the day, looking forward to seeing if Wales can get their mojo back on track after that sloppy defeat to Scotland.

Have a good day everyone, Iechyd Da!
